I'm glad to hear Greeny's doing well. If Greeny ever shows any signs of illness in the next couple months I'd get him to a vet right away. What Capri had could have been contagious.

I'm so sorry to hear about poor Capri, that's always so sad when pets die suddenly. Because she may have died of something other than the filter you may want to clean out the tank so that if it was infectious it won't pass to greeny.

Any plans to get another one to occupy Greeny? So far from what I've seen/heard, some turtles like company, some are turtle-misanthropists and can't stand 'em.

Hmm, did you try to save it by making it breath again? If the cause of death was drowning couldn't you have pushed the water out and called a vet?

That would only work if she was able to rescue the turtle in time and even then there would be a very slim chance since it was a baby. There's no need to second guess what happened at this point. I think she feels bad enough.

I'm so sorry to hear about Capri. Sometimes these things happen and there's nothing you can do. Now you should turn all your attention to Greenie and be Greenie's best friend.
