Also I dont see a filter. And yes plastic blocks UVB rays, and to me it doesnt look like it's in direct sunlight (not that you should put it in direct sunlight!) but if thats the case then they arent getting any UVB and the basking temperature is probably not correct.

If your parents have such a problem with the turtles inside then you should purchase a large stock tank (100 gallons or more) and buy a pond filter, set it in your yard, and you'd be all set.

What tube?! All that it has is a small 5 gallon tank on the stoll, and a ramp at an angle of 10 degrees and one at 90 degrees, not tubes involved. the green is plastic string.

Ohhh I see it. But I don't think they would like to climb on that...Maybe you should just buy a basking dock.

Like I said, my parents wont let me. I FINALLY SAW THEM BASK!!!! I DID SOME REDESIGNING AND THEY JUST BASKED!!!

i would try a floating island for basking, or a ledge. also making it more private. my little guy wasnt basking, till i put some plants around the area. now he's basks like normal. He just wanted more privacy.

Your set up looks a litttle complicated for a turtle to figure out. Go simple, and try to replicate nature. thats my best advice.
