woops i was thinking that all water conditioners were the same. my mistake sorry.
next time i will check around before i put what i think is true on here.

I did a water change and there's no more problems!

I am very happy sweet Serra is okay! I did see the video, and she looks fine and frisky to me. Mine periodically rub their eyes too.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what kind of water conditioner do you all use? I don't use it often, but i've used amquel and stress coat in the past with water changes. Is there a better kind specifically for reptiles?

I've had my RES for over 18 years, and knock on wood have had no big health problems. The only issue he's had was he was limping on one of his front legs. The vet said it was just a strain and it went away after a few weeks. Seeing Mr. Turtle on x-ray though was pretty cool!

A popular water conditioner is Reptisafe. I believe it's a zoo med product. It does several things in addition to removing chlorine, like neutralizing ammonia.
