ok i don't have any sand or gravel but do you need it for them to lay eggs? i the only dry spot in my tank is a slate rock which they use for basking. i don't want her to get sick
1 5 year old standard poodle(Bijoux)

2 turtles Moxy (M)about 8 years (7 inches) Jenna (F) about 2 to 3 years(4 1/2 inches)

would get more but mom says wait till your 18 and out of my house. lol

What kind of symptoms does your turtle have? Is she showing signs of being pregnant with eggs?

Ideally it would be a place outside the tank and several inches deep. Many turtles, however, are reluctant to lay eggs in an enclosure.

no shes not pregnant but i would like to know before she does

If she hasn't mated and has to lay eggs they will be sterile(no babies).

i know but theres a male in her tank and i know they lay eggs when they dont mate
