You probably won't benefit from using water conditioner until you have a better filter (specifically one that allows you to use bio-media). If you're worried about chlorine, let the water sit overnight before you add it into the tank.

I've never heard of this method, Steve. What does leaving the water out do to the chlorine?

Wow cool. I didn't know that. My chemistry-teaching-fiance is skeptical, but sounds good to me :D

 I was gonna say, I didn't think they made docks that small  I figured there was some sort of mistake involved. Sounds like you're doing a good job otherwise.

After 24 hours, and buying a heater, and a thermometer. I let the turtle in, It seems kinda confused right now, trying to swim against the glass underneath the dock.

But I suppose its just getting used to the new surroundings.

Yeah, he'll calm down once he's explored everything. You may want to add some plants to give him something to rest on. Did you exchange the filter for a larger one? If not it may be a good idea so you don't run into problems when Hersey gets a little bigger and puts more strain on the filter.

I think ill keep the filter the same for about a month, Im not too sure I should be spending this much money at the same time. But, if i notice him getting bigger Ill change it right away.

as far as i could see, you have the zoomed dock that has suctions cups on the top and bottom of the black, plastic poles holding the dock in place? I'd agree with whoever said to get lots of plants for your baby to play in, and I'd also recommend not to suction the bottom suction cups because when Leo was a baby she did figure 8's in and out of those poles and at some point the space between them and the wall was getting too small and she was getting stuck! With having plants and unsuctioning those cups the chances of your turtle getting stuck are slim! Just a safety tip! :) Good luck with your little one!
