I've had my two babies, Apolo and Wedge, for two months now, and have been measuring them once a month to keep a growth chart. So far they've grown about 1/8 of an inch each month. Wedge is now 2 7/8", and Apolo is 3 1/16". Does this seem like normal growth for turts?
Admittedly, when my Rigby was this size I was a total novice to turtles and, ashamedly so, didn't understand about or carry out proper feeding and care. Now that I am much more educated on turtle care (much thanks to this site mainly!), I want to make sure I do right for the babies from the start, now that I have Rigby on the right track .
They have most of the equiptment required, soon to get what I don't have for them. Currently they're getting 3-4 pellets each morning, judging by what would fit in their heads, and a different fruit or veggie each afternoon, generally early.
Basically I'm just wondering if the growth/food intake sounds about right for the turts, or if I need to do some adjusting for them? They're happy and healthy thus far, and I want to keep them that way
