ok i did the change and took the heat lamp off my new set up . I got the temp up to 75. I am worried it won't stay there over night.

Are you sure that your water temp dropped and it's not your thermometer? If your house is at 73, then there isn't anything that should've caused it to drop that far. Unless you dropped some dry ice in the tank :lol:

i double checked the thermometer. I set it into the new tank and it red the same as the new thermometer in the new tank.

he was moved to a table that is under a celing fan and i didn't relize it was on but i moved him there so i could set up his new home. Think he will be ok over night?

Well geez. How long have you had the new tank set up? Have you conditioned it and got the lights up and running? And got the filter working?

i got the new set up today. I had it all up and running by 7:30pm centra. so it has been set up for 4 hours and yes it has been treated. just waiting to get temp set. it is currently at 77-78 from 80 4 hours ago.

As long as it doesn't nose dive again, you should be fine. The only thing that I can think of is that it's under some sort of fan and caught a draft.

I bought a water heater , I had one that was fully submerged and I bought a new one and it was a water line so I just filled to the water line the top part stays out of the water, I hope that is right, why is everything so confusing? lol

A fully submersible one would have been preferable.
