Just an update. I moved the rock out away from the tank wall a little so he'd have some more room. I've been observing fairly closely, and I have noticed no change in the line on the shell. So i'm thinking it's just a mark or a scratch. No abnormal behavious either. In a couple more days I will post more pictures so other people can point out if they see any change that I might have missed.
