Well I have some good news about Snappy.

It's been about 2-3 wks since snappy has been with me and he's been happy as day, but this wk he found a new home.

A MUCH better one. Let me begin by saying, I attend a vocational high school. A school that's high school classes put with some college classes. So while you attend high school you get the knowledge to recieve a certificate in a certain area of interest. Well, the largest program at my school is health. Broken into vision, dental, radiology, therapy, and nursing (the one I'm in).
And of course we have a vet class!! But they are special, they got their own building near the back of the school, (I'm guessing becuase of the smell.)

But their class is divided into two portions, the classroom and the pet house!! They have everything!! Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fishs, salamanders, birds by the dozens. And a rabbit looking hamster, called a chin-chela.

I think that's how you spell it. The great thing about these programs is that the teachers have to have a bachelors degree in what they teach, so the vet teacher is a licensed Vet. So of course I went to her with questions. Let's just say she bashed me in!!

She said I should have taken Snappy to a animal shelter, and practically told me off. But after some explaining and me taking the comments in she motioned for her to have him.

She had tanks by the hundreds of all sizes. And a 50 gallon with Snappy's name on it if I decided on her taking him.
But I asked what happens after he grows to big. She said, go around to the back of the building and check it out. So I did, and guess what I saw... A huge pond with a couple of snapping turtles bobbing around. My jaw dropped, they were SOO BIG!! So I slept on the idea and thought it over. At the vet class he'd be feed daily, given medical help if needed for free, and then have a great pond in the back to grow up in... So I decided to give Snappy a better home and life. So this past Tuesday Snappy was placed in his new and improved 50 gal. tank. Next to a 30gl. salamander tank. And the students already began studing his anatomy, in books of course, this wk to learn how to go about feeding him and caring for him. Dr. Cole, (Vet teacher), said I could visit anytime and truse me I plan on it.

So that was Snappy's latest adventure and I plan to post some pics of the pond as soon as I got to school on monday!!
