after my turtle moved to the 75 gallon tank, she sleeps on top of the water floating, with all limbs retracted, very cute....
I wonder how they control their buoyancy, they seem to have the ability to stay at any depth of the water....

mmm, I never see my babies doing that :roll: i see baby turtle floating on water some times but he/she is awake :)

They float the same way we do, they pull in a bunch of air and that makes them float, it gets a little harder for them as they get older due to their increase in weight (growing shell).

My frog does that all the time (floats while sleeping).

Sheba, not so much....prolly because she is so BIG/heavy.
