Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

They always seem hungry and I want to make sure they are getting enough. I know they arent eating all the pellets because the bowl is always filled with smashed pellets so how can I tell if they are getting enough? They won't eat from the bottom of the bowl either they will only eat if it is floating. They are going to be 2 months old in a week or so. I am going to get some different types of veggies and see if they will accept veggies yet. Last time I tried they refused them.

It's a good idea to start them on veggies as soon as possible. It may take a little tough love to get them eating them but it's well worth it.
As for the pellets, feed what would fit inside the turtle's head if it were hollow once a day. After they're larger than 4" you can feed them pellets every other day and offer veggies everyday.

Try anacharis pond plants. The babies love to play in these & eat them. It will make a big mess, but they LOOOOOOVE it!!!! :)
