Helloooooo again. Hmmmm well my res has been staying in a very poorly maintaned tank.The water level is not even above it and theres no light or basking area.Soooooooo im deciding to improve its life but im afraid that it may not adapt to the changes and might fall sick or something. What should i do ?

Fix it up! He'll fall sick if you don't, he will be very grateful if you give him the proper living conditions.
