I've noticed that the turtle I have has blue/green slime growing on the edges of it's shells it wipes off. Is this just algae? He's still active and was diving in his tank until it went bye bye. He eats just fine and his eyes and rest of the shell look good but since I've never noticed it and figured I'd ask...
Sounds like aldae if it wipes off that easy. Do you notice it growing other places in your tank? Is the tank near a window where it gets a lot of sunlight?
