General Care Discussion :: Two Bubble from the nose

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I've noticed this, sometimes when Toutolina sleeps (under water) or even swims, bubbles appear. Now, if this is a sign of RI, what can I do to make it better? She is very active - playing rough, eating a lot, basking. So, i'm hoping this is nothing. Will swimming around a lot qualify for great exercise and help? I am getting a huge tank soon.
Update of baby turtle Tortuga: She's doing great!! Swimming and basking (limbs spread out), and it's eating the pellets AND poo-ing! I believe it has grown a tiny bit, but maybe that's wishful thinking.

Bubbles on the nose is a sign of RI? Rexi sometimes has bubbles on her nose but I wouldn't think it is RI I would just say she has bubbles on her nose.

If the bubbles are only forming when she's under water I wouldn't be too concerned. The issue is when mucus bubbles form (and don't pop immediately) when the turtle is out of the water- it's a sign that they are congested.
If she's eating and swimming normally, it sounds like she's healthy- but it's always a good idea to keep a watch out for symptoms of illness like you're doing.
What do you mean by playing rough though?

Oh okay! THANKS :-D I'm so relieved. I read that bubbles forming at the nose could be a sign of R.I. I might have misunderstood.
By playing rough, I mean she's always trying to fight and bite the rocks, always trying to move the water heater with her shell, stuff like that.
