That's good. Hopfully he'll be someone's only turtle so they can devote all their attention (and money!) to taking good care of him.

Do you know if the people at the pet store have a clue as to how to care for a RES so they can advise a buyer in a responsible way? If not, maybe you can give them some pointers or a "care sheet".

they just need to raise the water level from what i know

It will require all your tact to make suggestions without making them mad, but I'm sure you can do it! People don't usually like to be told they don't know something. Try to think of a way to put it in a way that, if someone were telling it to you, it wouldn't bother you.

Mama and 123 -- If you think that anyone will really care you are badly mistaken. It is about money and if the store has to spend 10,15 or 20 bucks they ''ain't'' going to do it. Now, if you publish their name and they get some calls or mail, they will do something, because, it may cost them some sales. I have been in a ''lot'' of pet shops in my travels and they are all the same. If you mention something about the condition their first tact is to try and make you sound stupid. When you let them know what you are talking about, you get the 1,000 yard, pie eyed, mouth open stare. OOPS, My soap box -- Sorry.

I'm locking this thread.
The turtle in question has found a home so there's no need for this topic anymore.
