ok well two days ago i put some fish into the tank with spunky...
just to see waht would happen but all he did was look at them and look at me like "are you telling me to eat that?" and there still in there! and they look fine...
Could Spunky acually not like fish?

Could be that he doesn't "feel" like fish, or he's not sure what to do with them, or he's not fast enough.
But I'll bet that sometime in the future you'll go to look and there will be a few missing ;)

It seemed that Rossco preferred to be friends with his fish... until the numbers started to deplete

I bet spunky will find them very tasty eventually.

My turtles are friends with the fish in their tank. They only go after the fish they know they can catch.

I was going to say something about my turtles leaving the feeder fishes alone. Then I look over and they were fighting over a red feeder fish. So never mind. Two down, two to go. I'll probaly buy some bigger ones and hopefully they'll last longer. They do some what eat the turtle's poop and left overs. And add to the tank's aesthetics.

My turtles did the same thing--for 10 months! Until I cleaned the tank and put them back in too soon. The fish hadn't found a good enough place to hide yet, apparently. They ate about 8 fish in about 10 minutes. Point is, it's best to put the fish back in about 10 minutes before the turts so they can hide :) someone here told me that....

i have an outdoor bathtub pond with like 10 feeder fishes, some of them look like miniature kois actually,
well, the turtle sliced one of the fishes in two, only eating half, and the other floating around.
now, the turtle doesnt even go after them, but the fish still hide.

the only reason i got the fish is cuz they are pretty, but i cant see them when they hide, so i removed most hiding spots...
now sometimes when i feed the fish, and they are scared to go to open water and take the floating food, they hide under the belly of the turtle to make their way up to the top of the water!!
