Hi everyone. I just recently bought 2 turtles. One red ear slider and one yellow belly. Will they beable to live in the same tank, or will i have to seperate them? One more quick question. I just recently bought my setup and i can not get rid of the ANNOYING murky Water. I have changed the water 50 % once already and it didnt help. Any suggestions?

You probably won't know that they can or can't co-exist until you meet their personalities, which will develop over time. When it comes to most animals, if they grown up together, they usually co-exist better than if one gets comfortable being the only child. Just be prepared for the worst, save up some money for a second tank if needed or have someone who can take one off your hands.

As for murky water, do you have a filter system? If you don't, murky water will become normal. Turtles give off a lot of yucky shedding skin, they are messy eaters, and they have yucky poo. Invest in a very good filter, and that should get rid of the murkiness. If it doesn't, be more specific in your question so people can help you pinpoint the problem!

You may or may not be fine, some live together fine some get very aggressive so just keep a eye out.

You wont see a instant change if you have only changed the water once you need to do it every day until it clears up.

Trd-Co -- What you have is new tank syndrome. Your bacteria are getting ahead of your filter. You can verify that by doing your water test. Check your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. You will have to do 50 percent water changes until it clears up. Your filter/pump needs to pump at least 5 times the volume in your tank. -- Good Luck

RES and YBS are basically the same turtle, except with different colour markings.
Generally turtles, even the same species, don't get along with each other.

2 Redfoot Tortoises ~ Sheegua & Muugua
1 Toy Poodle ~ Pudding

If you keep them in a large enough tank, it will lessen the chances of bullying/agression.
