Oh my goodness, Hollybear. I just happened upon this thread and it is very sad. It's easy to get attached to a little cute thing. Surprising, but easy. Just by reading, I can tell you did everything you could and were a good mommy. You've still got your little Lola. The good thing is that I think turtles are like cats in some regards: Lola may not even notice he's gone, and will be just as happy to have all the attention! I'm so sorry fro your loss
