so i have these two turtle and am wondering if they are males or females or what?... What is the best way to find out?

If their shells are under 4 inches in length, then there is no way to tell with any accuracy. You have to wait until the turtle grows to that size.

Males have very long front nails (but don't cut them...it is normal for the nails to look VERY long) and a thicker longer tail.

Females have a very short tail & very short front claws.

Industrial girl is right about the sexing, you'll just have to wait and see.

It looks like you have small aquarium gravel in your tank. You'll want to remove it ASAP as turtles have a nasty and deadly habit of eating it and becoming impacted.
