I am very glad you wrote this...I thought I must be doing something wrong again, because that seems to be Fred's favorite basking time. I was hoping that as he gets used to his new home, he would settle into a better timed routine, because I feel guilty turning off his light just because it's time for bed.

If you put his lights on timers, you won't have to feel guilty. :D

It's become a ritual with Tilly---he seems to know instinctively that the light will be going out in 5 minutes, and that's the time he chooses to get on the basking area. I've actually adjusted his MVB light to come on later in the morning so he can bask a little later in the evening.

Since I read this, I think thats my turts problem. I noticed he is awake at 6 am when I get up in the mornings. He basks in the morning, sleeps for hours and then basks alittle before bed. Timer means nothing!!
