ok so i had to move Rolo's tank about a month ago and ever since then, for whatever reason i had the hardest time trying to get the air temp and basking temp right. Well 6 different watt bulbs later and various insulating schemes i finnaly found something that worked! I bought a 125 watt heat bulb from the farm and tractor supply store and have another 60 watt bulb on the other side of the tank. i was so happy to get rid of all the crap i was using as "insulation" on the outside and around the tank * it was a whole lot of towls and fluffy pillows*
How do I know that it works? i came home from school yesterday and found Rolo happily hangin' out on her dock. she must have been there for a while because she was completely dry and you could kind of see where she was shedding her scutes. GO ME!
