is there ever a time when i should help my res shed his scutes? i feel as if my turt has been shedding for way too long. He eats and basks perfectly, and is acting normal. I realized when he first started shedding that he had signs of pyramiding, but i have corrected his diet and all is well now, except he is still shedding. He has probably been shedding since sometime in december or so.

Mikey is going on 2 1/2 months of shedding, between skin and now scutes. I think some turtles do the quick shed thing and others take longer.
