General Care Discussion :: Spot's Nose (not turtle-related, just need more brains)

Hey everyone, last week i posted about my new aquarium with my turtles' old pleco, Spot. I had a picture of his nose, which had a little red spot on it...


and now that spot has turned into what looks like a blister


does anyone know what this might be? Im going to take him to the store where i bought him (Big Al's) soon to see if they can help. Anything anybody might know would be very helpful!

I have no idea, but you can also try posting over at http://www.turtletimes.com/forums/index.php?, they have a thread for fishy friends, so maybe someone there can help too!

Just a guess but maybe he's rubbing against something in the tank?
Perhaps using the kind of water conditioner that has slime coat might help.

thanks guys, i got some good information and it looks like its just from bumping into things and a little meds will clear it right up
