I'm not sure of the effects, but I would think that they wouldn't do much for the turtle and it's eyes.

Just go ahead and get the Zoo Med eye drops, they will work and you will be happy.

Good luck!

The product is called ZooMed Repti Turtle Eye Drops. It's cheap and can be found in most pet stores. It is mainly for Vitamin A deficiency and will probably not help if thats not why the eyes are swollen. Injuries, trauma, UV and irritations are possible causes.

do I leave the turtle on a wet towel while I apply the eye drop, how long does it take to dry?

just put it on a dry towel, it doesn't need to be damp.

and it should just take like 30 seconds to a minute before you can put the turt back into the tank.
