Hi guys,
My turtle is a bit fat, he is starting to grow out of her shell. She will not eat anything else but the pellets, Ive had her since last Christmas, she got quite big and so forth, but how can I get her to loose weight, so far I am not feeding her nothing but lettuce and Dandelion leaves, its a bit harsh but I can have a fat turtle lol

Is she eating the lettuce and dandelions? If so that's good, and I wouldn't cut out the pellets entirely. (Crash diets aren't good for people, and they're not good for turtles). You can offer other veggies as well. Variety is good. :D

My turtle got quite fat recently too....have a little pyramiding situation on our hands at the moment.
So, we've cut back to 4 pellets a day, and also recently discovered that he loves lettuce! So he gets a piece of that to play with all day too.

ZE -- I would suggest the you feed him every other day. I strarted cutting back when they were about 3 to 4 inches in size. It will not hurt them.
