General Care Discussion :: RES up for adoption in NY Tristate Area.

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Mon May 05, 2008 2:13 am   RES up for adoption in NY Tristate Area.

I have three beautiful RES that I am giving up for adoption. These used to belong to my girlfriend but she couldn't care for them because she is to short and small to clean their tank and even feed them.
I took them from her and have been keeping them for some time. One of them I actually bought at a shopping mall when it was the size of a quarter, the other two where purchased in canal street (china town).
i believe one of them is a male.
If anyone is willing to take any of these turtles, so long as you promise to take care of them and give them a good home you can have them. i am willing to meet with anyone within reason.
my name is ariel, my PM me for my phone number

I guess I'm confused...she is too "short" to take care of them? I'm only 5 ft tall and I'm getting along, maybe she just needs a shorter tank stand or a step stool!
*PS* It might be helpful if you post how big each turtle is and if you are giving any equipment away with the turtles.

she is also 5 feet tall but at the time she had a 40 gallon tank and a pretty tall stand. her parents didnt want to have anything to do with keeping up with it so i would come every other weekend just to clean the tank :(

three turtles. i will give my equipment but it is not enough for them. i have a small filter two 6inch clamp on lamps some decorations and a bubble making thing dont know what to call it. all the other gear is really pointless for anyone to take.

one turtle is about 6 inches long from tip of shell to end of shell. the other two are about 4inches and the other 3 maybe 3.5 inches.

here is a picture of the largest next to my phone for size comparison
he is pretty impressive, very agressive for his size.
