The ramp might not be optimal, I know that ramp and it may not provide a good area to dry off at. It's better than nothing, however. I'm not a fan of the waterfall filters, you can try to redirect the water to make it more suitable.

For an inexpensive underwater ledge, you can buy these plastic soap dishes for the bathtub that have suction cups on them. I got mine at Walmart. I have them upside down stuck to the sides about two or three inches below the water level (enough for him to stick his head out) so he can sleep underwater on the ledges. The ledges allow them to be near the surface while sleeping to breathe. He also sleeps hanging on his legs off of the ledges too.
