General Care Discussion :: Clarification on sex

From what I learned about the sexing of a turtle, I assumed my little Zoe was female. In fact, I still assume such, but I'm not sure. Perhaps someone can help.







I hope these help. I know it all has to do with the shell, claws, and her tail. She's shy, so. . . these were difficult to obtain.

How long is she? You can't be sure untill they're around 4" SCL, but so far it does look like a she. The short little front nails look ultra feminine to me so far.

Thank you for you help. She is exactly 4" SCL. I'm glad I'm right about it. I'd hate to change her name to a guy's name. lol. Again, thank you!

The nails are on the short side, but that pic of the tail tells me you have a female.
