we got a new friend named Tuck for my lonely turtle Fat Albert.

Tuck needs a check up since he came from a crapy environment with COLD WATER and NO LIGHT.

His shell is very dark but it does not have an odor. (no shell rot)

his eyes are a little pale but they are slowly looking better after he basks. (he has not basked in a LONG TIME when he lived with the previous owners)

he started to shed A LOT after he entered the warm water. (is it possible that cold water does not allow shedding?)

his mouth is pink (it doesent look like a respitory infection)

he is an adult sized male, and he gets along with Fat Albert who is only 3 inches. Fat albert eats his shed skin  i hope that isnt bad

please let me know if my turtle seems okay. his eyes are still a little pale, but they were not as bad as when we got him yesterday.

It's not possible to assess the condition of your new turtle with the info you've given. If you want to know how healthy he is, the best thing to do is take him to a herp vet and have him looked at.

A new turtle should be quarantined for at least 90 days in his own set-up before introducing him to an established tank to try to make sure the turtle has nothing that's contagious. In the case of your new turtle (an adult-size male---how many inches is the length of the shell without the curve?), though, if he's a lot bigger than your 3-inch turtle, it would be better not to put them together at all if the size difference is great.
