Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

awhile back (2 years ago) while in florida i bought two baby turtles thinking that i could save at least 2 out of the horribly crowded tank. so 2 years later (now) they've grown which i kinda expected but thats not the point, out of the 2 turtles 1 is alot smaller then the other and i got them at the same time. so is there something wrong with them or am i over reacting???

could be that the smaller one isnt getting as much food. have you been monitoring feeding time?

Most likely the bigger one is female and the smaller one is male. The females grow larger.

If they are both eating normally and are healthy, that's probably just it.

You need to devise a feeding schedule that everyone will need to respect. You should also take the additional step of separating them during feeding. Some use a separate feeding tank, but if that is too much work, you can just use a empty container to hold the turt that isn't being fed at the moment.
