General Care Discussion :: Turtle Travel Question

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:22 pm   Turtle Travel Question

I'll be spending the next month or so with my dad, and I don't have anyone to take care of my turtles. I'm already leaving my cat and fish with my mom which can be quite a bit of work, so I don't want to leave my turtles here too and plus I'm not entirely sure I trust them in her care. Reptiles are not her thing. So, I've just decided to take them with me, I think that would be easier on everyone. I'm not entirely sure how to transport them though. What should I put them in? The car ride from my house to Chicago is about 5 hours so I'd need something that could accomodate them that long

And tips?

Horsepower is how fast you hit a wall. Torque is how far you move a wall

Yeah, what I did is get a shoe box, put a towl in it, and put hole in the lid of the box. But that was only like a 2 hour drive. They kept sticking their heads through the air holes and looking around in the car!LOL
