my tank has a bridge for rockie to bask. here is an image: http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2000882260100799008RdXlRX?vhost=pets
she likes to lay on the bridge (the side closer to the right) when she sleeps and she gradually falls down bit by bit till she reaches the bottom at night. then she will swim back up when she needs to breath. looks like she love this setting and makes her feel secure. however, she's getting big and the bridge's surface area looks kinda small for her so when she turns around to bask at a different angle, her feet will be getting to the water and I am afraid the bridge is not big enough for her to stay on there. I am thinking of getting one of those floating dock which can fit a pretty big turtle. but if switching to a floating dock, then there is no "stairs" for her to lay on.
those of you that use floating dock, how do your turtle sleep at night?
actually, rockie likes to lay on the stairs whenever she wants to rest, not just sleeping. where do your turtle rest if you use a floating dock? she is so chicken that she won't climb up to the bask area unless everything in the room stays still or no one's around for like half an hour.
