By these standards, if these turtles are kept together, they need at minimum (at this moment in time) 7.5+5.5+5+4+3.5 = 25.5x10 gallons = 255 gallons of tank. Anything less than this and aggression is sure to arise.
We are currenlty looking for a new house with a great yard to build a big pond for our babies. Meanwhile, we are currently expanding their outdoor habitat to incorporate 2 ponds joined together with a basking platform and sand pit for them. One of the things we were wondering about is heating for the pond. We live in a tropoical climate year round (Hawaii) but sometimes the water feels colder than the tank in the house. Should I get a heater. Also, we are planning to take the turtles to the vet for their regular check up soon. Last check up the vet said that they were very healthy and got a clean bill of health.
