General Care Discussion :: can anybody recomend a powered tank vacuum cleaner?

I have been using Aqua battery powered vacuum, but this product is so crappy, my 5th just broke down, every time it broke down I brought back to PetCo and they let me exchange, now I am going to exchange for the 6th one. Every one can last about 2 months. So sick of it. Is there any better product out there? Thanks

It's not great quality but it will last more than 2 months. I buy two so don't have a time without when one gives up the ghost.

It a more expensive option but you could always get a Magnum 250 (about $50) and attach a syphon hose to the intake tube. They actually sell this set up with as a kit with biowheel and syphon included. The link is for the 350 but I have seen them with the 250 as well.

I havent tried it out yet, but have given it some thought. Theoretically it should work really well with the micron cartridge.

I do have a running filter, all I need is to reduce the burden of the filter by sucking out food residual....
Siphon also takes out water so I have to fill gallons of water back in every time I clean the tank. A vacuum cleaner seems a better solution. But my tank is 90 gallons so i am not sure if SpotsMama's recommendation would do the job....

i think it is. it makes it alot easier to get random crap out of the tank.
