so we are moving tomorrow and i am moving all my reptiles to the new reptile room today. and im gonna need to refill the turtle tank when we get over there and we are on a well so there is no chlorine but apparently the iron levels are high. its drinkable and every thing the only harm it would do until we get a filter for it is our laundry would turn yellow. do think that this would harm my turtle? or fish? just for one refill he would change it back as soon as we get the filter.

If the water is safe for humans to drink then it will be safe for your turtle. The fish may be a different matter. It probably depends on the species but in general, fish are more sensitive to water chemistry than turtles. What kind of fish do you have?

How large is your turtle? A good rule of thumb is at least 10 gallons of water per inch or its shell. So unless your turtle is one in in length, the 12 gallon tank is too small for it.
