ok well people talk about how if a turtle is not being active that it can be sick...so my question is...what is defined as lazy?....lately my turt has been sleeping alot during the day. and she never used to so im a lil worried.

The water might be too cold. If not, then she might be sick.

What ever that is? The temp should be between 76 & 78 F. The basking temp should be around 90 to 92F. They like the difference.

Celsius. The temp is fine maybe even a tad warm, but mine can reach 80 (27) at times. Read up on the health problems and consider a visit to the vet if she doesnt perk up. I would be concerned if she has been active in the past and is only recently "lazy".

My turtles don't exactly swim laps, they more or less bask, lay in the water, eat, and sleep.
What I consider excessive is if a turtle changes their behavior. A decrease in appetite, basking in a weird position, etc. When I first got my second turtle, he was ill, and he would bask with his head fully extended and on the dock like he just didn't have the energy to raise it or pull it in. To me, that was a pretty clear sign he was ill.
