General Care Discussion :: chipping on my baby turtles shell

there is a little chunk missing on my baby turtles shell.
right about where her left foot is. and the rest of the
shell is flaky but hard. she does live with another bigger
turtle but i don't think that its from her. she wasn't eating
for a while, she's eating some here and there. but i don't
know what to do.

I'd be willing to bet the larger turtle bit the chunk of shell off of the tinier one. How large is their size difference? Even if you only have a three or four inch turtle in with the hatchling it's still large enough to kill the hatchling.
I'd separate the two before things gets worse.
