What makes you think your turtle has a RI??? Why don't you have a basking area due to algae??

Cain, you don't need to make a separate post. The answers you need are in your original post. Having a basking area is necessary for your turtles survival and algae is going to happen because of the light exposure. There are some basking areas you can construct to avoid the algae, but it's going to happen. You also need to get a larger tank, until you can do that, you need to add more water to the tank you have now. As for your RI question, no they don't just get better on their own. If you don't take care of your turtle and its problems, it can be fatal.
