TomGirl, can you please post pictures of the girl? I've never seen one that old. :)

I don't know how to post pics  I wanted to post pics when I made her basking area because people were asking for idea, but you have to have a URL, right? I never upload pics on the internet, so there's no site to get them from.

Is there a way I can include a pic without having an URL? I have lots![/url]

Also, my turtle seems to be back to normal. She's calmed down over the weekend and hasn't "screamed". I woke to her scratching the bottom of the railing to her basking area and then, for ten whole minutes, watched her gain the courage to get her butt up there and bask. She hasn't laid any eggs. I don't think she was gravid, just uncomfortable and nervous.

I'm also 90% sure that those green "plastic" things I kept seeing in the water last year (check my posting for Strange Poop) were pieces of discolored egg shells she was discreting. I don't think that will happen again because her conditions were abnormal (she was being dry docked in three inches of water at the time and conditions weren't right for anything, especially laying eggs).
RES: Harvey (she's a girl)
Age: 20 yrs
Size: 8"
Favorite Pastime: Dislodging her filter's intake tube and splashing water.

You cannot upload a picture if it's not already on the internet. There are tons of free, private sites online though. http://www.Photobucket.com is great. Once you put the picture online, you can look at Steve's signature, and there's a link to how to post a picture there.

She had a little accident last summer. Her shell is scarred for life. :(

How big is that bowl? Sand/dirt is pretty heavy to hang.

It's pretty big. It's meant to be used in a restaurant for salad and stuff. I have a big hanger though, so I wouldn't worry about it falling. :)
