hi guys i know this IS a STUPID question but does culltebone usually sink to the bottom of the tank. i have personally never seen this untill today. it was floating along the top pf the water quite happily then it just died and sunk to the bottom.

tumble seems quite upset by it as he used it to rest on and float around, with his fromt legs rested on it he would kick his back legs and move around the tank. he has been swimming over to it and nudging it sadly with his nose. do you think i should replace it and let this one dry out again, then swap it round again. or is there a floating dock of some sort i can buy to keep him happy. i hate him not having his toys and he really likes the floating cuttlebone.

Mine sinks all the time. It only floats for a few seconds. Just long enough to soak up the water.

The cuttle bone sinks when it becomes saturated with water. Cuttlebones pretty cheap, if he enjoys it floating so much, I'd just give him a new one.

I find my cuttlebone sinks after a couple days. You can take it out, let it dry, and it'll float again My Ralph's the same... He won't touch his cuttlebone if it has sunk

If I give my turtles cuttlebone, in few second the cuttlebone will gone dissappear and never seen its floating or even sink underwater.. haha.. They love cuttlebone so much even the small small dusty piece they will eat~!..

rolo doesnt care if it floats or sinks... just as long as she can eat it!
