Are they necessary? I am extremely skeptical about vets that "see turtles" because truth be told, turtles AREN'T extensively studied and therefore, there isn't a whole lot of knowledge on them. Why bring my turtles to a place that knows less than I do? I feel that they'll just bull crap me with diagnosis's- even my human doctor does it to me.
For example: Starscollided and
her turtle. Her turtle DIED from too much vitamin shots.

!???!!!?! Obviously, the vet thought they knew what they were doing simply because vitamins are "good", therefore turtles "need" em. Yeah right! All hell would break loose if I found out my vet murdered my turtle.
Am I better off taking full responsible as to what I give my turtles? Or is it worth finding a good vet? Any personal experiences?
