today i removed my filter and cleaned out all the gunk and grime from the media. (before you ask no i diddnt wash anything in clean water, i used tank water)
anyway i was in the undertank cupboard disconecting the filter when i noticed something move inside it. thinking nothing of it i proceeded in removing the media and rinsing it in a bucket of tank water.
i got to the bottom and removed the tray that catches the gunk and to my supprise there were not one but four guppies swimming around happily in the bottom of the filter.
these were the guppies that we had thought tumble had eaten. obviously not.
i removed them from the filter and now they are back in the tank playing around. i did think of leaving them in there to eat the crap the filter swallowed but i never.
they must have been in there at least 2 weeks as it was around that time when they disappeared.
has any one else exrerienced this and what are four views on actually putting some guppies in there after all they were very alive and active.
