hi ive got two rosie reds that were bought for a snack and have been hanging out now for two months, while im aware they could be eaten at any minute is ok to feed them fish flakes every now and then and would the flakes hurt my res. The usually feed off off vitos scraps Also i bought an algae eater if vito decides to eat it would it be a problem

It's ok to give them fish flakes now and then and the flakes won't hurt your turtle. Most rosies live off the turtle's waste and leftovers but I'm sure they would appreciate a few flakes. Don't put too much in the tank though as you don't want it to foul the water.

I agree with Spot-ma -- Use the fish food sparingly. The fine flakes will settle to the bottom and add to your clean up when the time comes. The less you feed them the more they will look for other things. Don’t worry, there are a few truths in life and one of them is, “turtles like fish”!! When you start feeding them every other day they may get eaten on the off day. m.

This is a funny topic because I got some fish to my turtle tank ( not my Turtle ) and the little dude ate them all. So I would not get any fish food. Because they eat the little bits of food your turtle leaves , and they maybe gone at any time.

i feed the guppies in my turtle tank every day!!!!!! just a small amount but they enjoy it and still pig out on the turtles waste. oh and i no longer only have 2 guppies i have six. i found the other four in the filter and put them back in the tank.
