I hand feed Squish Reptomin Sticks. Once she opened her mouth and bit some off and ate it. Now she doesn't even open her mouth. What should I do? O_O

Also, do turtles, you know...pee? o.o

Have you changed her habitat at all? Did you happen to notice WHEN she stopped eating? Maybe its the small tank ;P (kidding) How long has she stopped eating?

Turtles pee. I think they usually do their businesses in the water tho. However, I was playing with one of my turtles for a couple of hours and by the end he totally pee-d when he was in my hand. Awesome aye?

Turtles drink water and pee frequently in their tanks.

How long has your turtle been refusing to eat? Have you tried other foods?

Is your turtle acting lethargic (sleepy) as well? If so, what do her eyes look like?

Is the weather getting cooler where you are?

What is the temp of the water and basking area?

I would try giving her another type of pellet, my turtles are not interested in Reptomin Sticks, but they love the HBH Turtle Bites.

You could also try not hand feeding them.

m-gu -- I would suggest that you start with the basics. Make sure your water is clean and make sure the water and basking temps are where they should be. The uvb lighting is important in keeping his matabolism where is should be. If he is accustomed to hand feeding that is ok. You can try some different foods if you like. You should know by now what he likes and keep on offering that. Back to basics. b.

I agree with bascomb with the basics. Water should be aroung 75 to 78degrees and the basking should be around 90 to 91 degrees with a uvb lighting also. -- If you can't get him to eat within a week or so you may need to take him to the vet. m.
