Thank you spotsmama! Tupac is a dear friend to me and he's been through hell and back, both of us together. His shell has improved a bunch since i first started coming here to get advice.....I will deff encorporate those foods listed. as per the tomato, wash, cut and drop? His UVB light is brand new and he loves lettuce and carrots.

Also i've been giving hom cuttle bone every few days and some dried shrimp every one a great while....

It looks like the turtle was kept in substandard conditions. I'd start with a good cleaning using Nolvasan (chlorohexidine) for starters (and do this periodically).

A good set-up (with plenty of basking under proper lighting), healthy diet and time should improve the shell a lot.

oh substandard doesnt even describe hie former condtions sadly.

but the few months he's been in his new home, he's been looking great, and his shell has improved amazingly!

YEA IT LOOKS LIKE HE NEEDS A GOOD SCRUB WITH A TOOTH BRUSH I LIKE TO PUT SOME CUTTLE BONE IN THE TANK TOO A GOOD DIET LIKE THE ONE SPOTS MAMA SAID IS GOOD EVERY COUPLE DAYS BUT IF IT DOSENT GET BETTER EVEN IF IT JUST STAYS THE SAME YOU SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE VET....... SO TRY IT! BUT DONT BE AFRAID THO GO TO THE VET BECAUSE IT LOOKS WIDE SPREAD/...... GOOD LUCK!!! :)
