I recently got a new filter.

The water looks great but I notice alot more skin floating on the surface now. Is there something I can do to make it fall (so the intake can get it) or to minimize it?

You can scoop it out with a minnow net.

An air stone is a bubbler- it agitates the water's surface and gets things flowing a bit better so there's a better chance that things like skin make it over to the filter.
You can buy them at any petstore and they are relatively cheap.

If you have a filter, you can try to angle the output to skim across the surface. That's what I do when I am having water surface issues.

I'll try that, but the new filter is too strong it seems, but maybe I can just angle it better.
