He went from not caring if I was right next to the glass aquarium, to now hiding at the bottom of the stock tank so scared when anyone comes around. I hope he gets use to his new living area and gets more social again. He is being so weird acting! He use to have a screen over him, now he doesn't. Perhaps he feels more vulnerable? Also, he isn't basking barely at all. He use to do it ALL DAY. Will he get over being scared???

Oliver was like this at first. He wasn't used to us being so tall above him (I'm assuming your stock tank is on the floor and your glass aquarium wasn't, same as mine), and I think he can feel the vibration of our feet more now. At first he spent much of his time hiding, and if we caught him off guard he would panic. He has gotten much braver and is finally back to staying on his basking log when I walk by (instead of diving off and hiding). He even swims up to me when I stand there.

I think it helped to install a filter that creates some white noise in the tank. It hides the vibration of our feet and other sounds. It took him about a week or so to get comfortable.
