are turtles supposed to sleep in water? i have a 5 inch one year old and 3 1 inch hatchlings and they all sleep in water but im not shure if it is becausethey are too cold at night. is a nightime heatlamp nessary :?: im getting a 50 gallon rubbermaid later today i need this info fast because of the upgrades i am doing so all ansers are welcome.

They normally sleep in the water. As long as you have a water heater, you don't need a heat lamp at night. Sometimes a turtle will sleep on his/her ramp, but it's more typical to sleep in the water.

Yea Bubble always sleeps in the water, but most of the time he's hanging onto his dock. I do not see the point of using a night lamp, a good water heater should do the trick.
