General Care Discussion :: Colors

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

My turtle is a deep forest green color and slightly brown on the edges. Is this normal? He's a wild RES that I've raised from a hatchling.

Is there any food I can give him to brighten his colors up?

as turtles age the bright green color that they were born with tends to fade.

Yes, of course, but I have seen adult RES like mine who are much brighter.
