General Care Discussion :: Do you think my turtle will get bigger?

It's 8 years old, female, 6 inches. First 6 years of life it lived poorly, in a small bucket pretty much, 1 inch of water, no lights, no basking, nothing. Now its in a good habitat. Is the turtles growth permanently stunted?

Met -- The first 6 years of his life was in a poor condition it will certainly effedt the rest of his life. It probably reflects in the condition of the carapace. I will suggest that you concentrate on the diet and do not over feed. Every other day will be fine. The proper filter,temps and lights will help him along fine. m.
